Disclaimer

The style of Flag Football that Northwest Ohio Flag Football, LLC offers does include a fair amount of contact.  Our rules are based upon the flag football rules laid out by the USFTL and interpreted locally and enforced as such.  Every attempt is made by all members of NWOFF, LLC.to provide safe and orderly play in conjunction with the rules set forth.  However injuries may occur and this aspect of our game should be carefully considered prior to your participation.  If you are in anyway concerned about the amount of contact involved you should not participate.  Also, if you have any questions about what is or is not allowed by the rules in our game please feel free to contact me and I will clarify any rules that may concern you.  This is not an attempt to discourage anyone from participating, only an attempt to make players aware of the possibility of injury playing a sport that involves some degree of contact.

League Play Starts Sunday, March 21st, 2010

1.    Teams wishing a specific game time should let me know no later than next Sunday March 14th.  We again have a significant amount of teams so I will do my best to honor all requests.  Requests made after March 14th will probably not be honored.

2.    Teams wishing to pay their entry fee early

            Sunday, March 14th (Next Sunday)

                  I will be in Findlay working the USFTL Major BUT I will have a representative (Butch) at EAST BROADWAY MIDDLE SCHOOL from 9:00 am until Noon to              collect entry fees.  EAST BROADWAY MIDDLE SCHOOL IS THE LOCATION OF OUR SPRING LEAGUE GAMES.

 

3.    Please See the entry fee schedule below for what amounts are due on what dates.  You must pay on the dates listed to receive the discounts.

 

4.    Also, I would really like to get the 5 on 5 leagues going outside.  It’s a fun game that is really growing in popularity along the east coast and the USFTL is trying to get it rolling in other locations so it is a legitimate sanctioned game.  I will run a 5 on 5 league if I can get at least 5 teams to do it.  I think once people see it played they will like it!

In Addition to our 8 on 8 League - I will be offering a 5 on 5 League!

 

You can play in both styles 5 on 5 and 8 on 8 in the same season.  Teams participating in both styles of play will receive a reduced entry fee.  I will also schedule games to allow teams to participate in both styles if they would want to.  We currently play 5 on 5 indoors but is played outdoors in most places.  Teams have asked if I would offer it in Toledo outdoors, so well give it a try and see what happens.

 

8 on 8 Entry:

Referee Fees:

8 on 8:  $30 per game, paid on field prior to the start of each game.

5 on 5:  $12 per game, paid on field prior to the start of each game.

 

 

Forfeit Fee: 

8 on 8:  $120 ; 5 on 5: $48;  Playing in both: $168

FORFEIT FEES ARE FULLY REFUNDABLE (if you do not forfeit) due with entry fee. 

This can be paid with a personal check that will be returned to you following your final regular season game.

 

 

Divisions:

8 on 8: (3) Divisions Minimum – (based upon participation). 

5 on 5 is based upon participation

 

 

Roster Size:

8 on 8: Limited to (30) Players per team. 

5 on 5: Limited to (12) Players per team

 

 

League Format:

8 on 8:  (10) game minimum + Playoffs.  Regular Season is (6) weeks long, week (7) will be playoffs.  (We will finish Sunday, May 23rd.)

5 on 5:  (14) game minimum + Playoffs.  Regular Season is (6) weeks long, week (7) will be playoffs.  (We will finish Sunday, May 23rd.)

NO GAMES WILL BE PLAYED ON EASTER SUNDAY (April 4th) or MOTHER’s DAY (May 9th)

 

 

Location:

Both styles will be played at East Broadway Middle School (1755 East Broadway Street, Toledo, Ohio, 43605)  - (Click here to see a field layout.)

 

 

Awards:

Regular Season Winner in each division will receive ˝ paid Sate Bid. 

Playoff winners in each division will receive a T-Shirt , *USFTL Computer Points (based upon final playoff standings) and 1/2 paid entry into the 2009 USFTL State of Ohio Championships to be played on November 13th & 14th in Columbus, Ohio.   This is applicable for BOTH styles of play.  The USFTL does offer a 5 on 5 division at all major tournaments.

This is a USFTL TOURNEY – NOT A NWOFF, LLC EVENT

However, it will be essentially run by NWOFF, LLC Personnel / John Decker and our Toledo officials will be used.  This is a great tourney to play in because of the amount of teams that participate from all over the country.  It is a great time and the first opportunity to play outside in 2010!
