Disclaimer

The style of Flag Football that Northwest Ohio Flag Football, LLC offers does include a fair amount of contact.  Our rules are based upon the flag football rules laid out by the USFTL and interpreted locally and enforced as such.  Every attempt is made by all members of NWOFF, LLC.to provide safe and orderly play in conjunction with the rules set forth.  However injuries may occur and this aspect of our game should be carefully considered prior to your participation.  If you are in anyway concerned about the amount of contact involved you should not participate.  Also, if you have any questions about what is or is not allowed by the rules in our game please feel free to contact me and I will clarify any rules that may concern you.  This is not an attempt to discourage anyone from participating, only an attempt to make players aware of the possibility of injury playing a sport that involves some degree of contact.

I will accept entries into the 2010 Fall League until the end of the day Monday, September 6th.  I will not accept entries after that date in order to be able to finish the schedule by Thursday, September 9th.

Please Note:  With the large number of teams now participating in our leagues it has become increasingly difficult to honor game time requests.  Our games will be played from 8:30 am until 1:30 pm.  All teams should be able to participate at any time in this time frame.  I have taken a lot of grief from teams who get stuck playing all late games or all early games because of other teams’ game time requests.  I understand people have other commitments but it has become increasingly unfair when I cannot grant every teams game time request, so no team’s requests will be.  I will do my best to schedule all teams equally throughout that entire time frame.  Missing a couple of players only at a certain time on certain weeks should not be deterrent to play.  I have just given you 2 ½ months advance notice.  I apologize for the inconvenience.

 

8 on 8 Entry:

Referee Fees:

8 on 8:  $33 per game, paid on field prior to the start of each game. (Note: this is a $3 per team, per game increase from previous seasons for 8 on 8)

5 on 5:  $12 per game, paid on field prior to the start of each game.

 

 

Forfeit Fee: 

8 on 8:  $132 ; 5 on 5: $48;  Playing in both: $180

FORFEIT FEES ARE FULLY REFUNDABLE (if you do not forfeit) due with entry fee. 

This can be paid with a personal check that will be returned to you following your final regular season game.

 

 

Divisions:

8 on 8: (3) Divisions Minimum – (based upon participation). 

5 on 5 is based upon participation

 

 

Roster Size:

8 on 8: Limited to (30) Players per team. 

5 on 5: Limited to (15) Players per team

 

 

League Format:

8 on 8:  (10) game minimum + Playoffs.  Regular Season is (6) weeks long, week (7) will be playoffs.  (We will finish Sunday, October 31st)

5 on 5:  (14) game minimum + Playoffs.  Regular Season is (6) weeks long, week (7) will be playoffs.  (We will finish Sunday, October 31st.)

 

 

Location:

Both styles will be played at East Broadway Middle School (1755 East Broadway Street, Toledo, Ohio, 43605)  - (Click here to see a field layout.)

 

 

Awards:

Regular Season Winner in each division will receive ½ paid Sate Bid. 

Playoff winners in each division will receive a T-Shirt , *USFTL Computer Points (based upon final playoff standings) and 1/2 paid entry into the 2009 USFTL State of Ohio Championships to be played on November 13th & 14th in Columbus, Ohio.   This is applicable for BOTH styles of play.  The USFTL does offer a 5 on 5 division at all major tournaments.

Send me an email to mckuhn@toast.net with your name, phone number, team name, the division you with to enter and whether you want to play 5 on 5, 8 on 8 or both.  I will post your team name on the website along with the other teams entered.  Entry fee is due at the Table prior to your first game.
