The style of Flag Football that Northwest Ohio Flag Football, LLC offers does include a fair amount of contact.  Our rules are based upon the flag football rules laid out by the USFTL and interpreted locally and enforced as such.  Every attempt is made by all members of NWOFF, LLC.to provide safe and orderly play in conjunction with the rules set forth.  However injuries may occur and this aspect of our game should be carefully considered prior to your participation.  If you are in anyway concerned about the amount of contact involved you should not participate.  Also, if you have any questions about what is or is not allowed by the rules in our game please feel free to contact me and I will clarify any rules that may concern you.  This is not an attempt to discourage anyone from participating, only an attempt to make players aware of the possibility of injury playing a sport that involves some degree of contact.

2008 Indoor Tourney

I would just like to thank all the teams that participated in our “first” indoor tournament.  It seemed like everyone had a good time even though it is somewhat different than the outdoor game we have all played for years!  Everyone was on their best behavior and the competition was great!  Gold Medal Sports commented to me on how they were impressed with the way teams acted and the overall level of competition – Thank You!

 

I’ve had MANY requests to hold a second indoor tourney so we will –

 

Toledo Indoor Tourney II

 

  • Sunday, January 18, 2009.  I know this is the same weekend as outdoor Nationals in Orlando but there are a lot of teams that can’t travel to Florida so they have asked me to host a tourney.  From the people I have talked to we should be able to have multiple divisions and have many teams come in from out of town.
  • Entry fee for this tourney will be the same as the first - $275 (this includes refs)
  • I am limiting this tourney to the first (16) teams to pay their entry fee.  So if you want in, let me know ASAP.
  • If we are able to fill a (16) team tourney I will give out t-shirts in addition to a team plaque and local outdoor bid.
  • Round Robin Format – (3) game Guarantee

Any suggestions on rule changes from the 1st tourney will be gratefully reviewed.
