Disclaimer

The style of Flag Football that Northwest Ohio Flag Football, LLC offers does include a fair amount of contact.  Our rules are based upon the flag football rules laid out by the USFTL and interpreted locally and enforced as such.  Every attempt is made by all members of NWOFF, LLC.to provide safe and orderly play in conjunction with the rules set forth.  However injuries may occur and this aspect of our game should be carefully considered prior to your participation.  If you are in anyway concerned about the amount of contact involved you should not participate.  Also, if you have any questions about what is or is not allowed by the rules in our game please feel free to contact me and I will clarify any rules that may concern you.  This is not an attempt to discourage anyone from participating only an attempt to make players aware of the possibility of injury playing a sport that involves some degree of contact.  Thank you – mckuhn@toast.net

***ALL PLAYERS ARE REQUIRED TO SIGN A WAIVER PRIOR TO PARTICIPATION***

***REVISED***

***9/7/06 – 4:30 pm***

2006 Toledo Fall Pre-Season Tourney

(Please read Disclaimer above)

***REVISED Game times listed below***

All teams are responsible for checking their game times on this website prior to Sundays games.  Any schedule modifications will be made no later than 12:00 pm on Saturday.

Games played at Highland Park & Libbey High School

(15) Total Teams

**General Information**

  1. All teams must check in to the main table located at Highland Park near the end zone of Field “A” before their first game.
  2. There is no parking outside of Highland Park.  All teams must park within the confines of Highland Park in designated parking areas.  There is legal parking on South Ave and the adjacent side streets but the City of Toledo has asked us to keep everyone within the park. There is no parking on the grass at any time.  Games will be stopped in order to move vehicles not complying with this request.
  3. All entry fees must be paid in FULL prior to the start of your first game.  No Personal Checks will be accepted.  All entries must be paid in CASH, CORPORATE CHECK, CASHIERS CHECK OR MONEY ORDER made out to “Northwest Ohio Flag Football, LLC.”
  4. “Alcohol” – There is absolutely no alcohol allowed in or around any NWOFF, LLC. venue.  This means on or around the fields or parking lots or anywhere on adjacent side streets that would associate your actions with our function.  If even a single player is caught YOUR ENTIRE TEAM will be immediately asked to leave the tournament without a refund.  There are no exceptions to this rule.
  5. ALL PLAYERS MUST SIGN THE ROSTER AND WAIVER PRIOR TO THE START OF THEIR FIRST GAME.  If I or any associated with NWOFF, LLC is aware of a player playing that has not signed a roster that game will be immediately forfeited without protest.  You can download a copy of the roster/waiver below or pick one up at the table when you check in.
  6. If you have any questions at all please see Butch at the main table.  He should be able to answer any of your questions.

**Local Rule Modifications**

  1. The latest USFTL Rulebook governs all play and is applied as interpreted by the local Director with the exceptions of the items listed below.
  2. “Point Rule” – In addition to the USFTL rule of a game ending when a team is up 17 pts. with two minutes to play, in Toledo, a team that is up 33 pts. at anytime in the second half or 25 pts. with 10 minutes to play will end the game.  This rule is modified to help shorten “blowouts” and keep the tournament on schedule.  The Referees should let both teams know when a team is approaching this margin of victory.
  3. “Ejection Rule” – Referees do have the authority to sit players down for any number of plays to diffuse a situation.  Any game ejection carries a game you are in PLUS two additional games and a $50 fine no matter what point in the game the ejection takes place.  .  If you throw a punch, you are automatically ejected from the tournament and fined $50.  The tournament director has the authority to modify the ejection rule at any point to adjust for the situation
  4. “Player Protests” – Player protests must be made before the end of the first half along with a $50 refundable protest fee should the protest go through – THIS APPLIES TO A PLAYER PROTEST ONLY.  You must pay $50 to even view another teams roster.
  5. “Rules Interpretation Protest” – Should you feel a rule was misapplied on the field, you may call timeout BEFORE the next play begins and present the head referee with the rule IN THE USFTL RULEBOOK within 3 minutes of the timeout.  Should the rule show the referee was in error the play will be corrected and you will receive your timeout back.  Have your rulebook ready, we will not wait for you to find it.  THIS RULE ONLY APPLIES TO HOW A RULE IS APPLIED – NOT - A REFEREES JUDGEMENT CALL.
  6. “Game Over” – once the final whistle blows the game is considered complete and final.  NO protests of any type will be allowed or even listened to once a game is over.
